British Wild Flowers

In 1993, Michael Honnor and group of Dartington Printmakers collaborated on a project about British Flowers. Five years later in 1998, the result was a magnificent limited edition Artists' Book, called 'Printmakers Flora'. All copies of this book were sold immediately, including one to the V&A Museum.

This project involved each artist choosing a British wild flower, known by its common and uncommon names, and creating a beautiful, original work of art through the wide variety of printmaking techniques. The techniques used included lithography, etching, linocut, wood engraving to name a few.

At the same time as the Artists' Book, a small edition of single folio prints was produced and this exhibition proudly brings together the last remaining edition of each print. There are 26 framed works in all, and they are for sale as individual pieces - each one a gem!
